You’re dead right mate, it’s all shit! I don’t use anything bar WhatsApp/LinkedIn which technically aren’t the same social media and serve for business purposes mainly! I’m what some may consider as odd, being 23 and part of Gen Z and not having the other platforms. However, what I actually am is elite, and recognise I don’t need to succumb to Peer pressure or this dumb FOMO/thirst for validation. I only have only 2 good friends because I recognise quality is better than quantity and I know they’d take a bullet for me, as I would for them! This is because I realise loyalty is what actually matters, not any of these artificial platitudinous types of crap displayed through these online mediums. Having social media is like being a smoker, it’s simply a weak trait character that people have as they think it’s cool etc, when it’s actually incredibly stupid and in today’s world actually makes you vulnerable to online attacks etc, and is a clever ploy by Facebook - (owning everything) to brainwash you into believing pretty much anything! I win, rant over!

Sometimes I would Google things like "Snapchat for you page is cancer" or something along the lines just to see if anybody was talking about how awful it is. There's always nothing. I'm glad Philion made this video. Now I know I'm not the only one. Also I go through the same cycle of uninstalling and then reinstalling it because my friends ask why I'm not active on there. Why is it so hard to meet people who don't fucking rely on all these platforms to entertain themselves? I don't fucking care. I like to SEE people and TALK to people in person rather than trying to de-code the text and emojis to get an idea of whether or not someone's being genuine.
